Adawatte Estate Pekoe Loose Leaf Black Ceylon Tea with Bamboo Infuser
$20.00
ABOUT The most famous teas in the island come from high grown regions and harvested from August to September. This is a single estate tea from Adawatte estate, located in Sri Lanka’s famous ‘Uva high country’. The Uva region stretches 2,800-6,000 feet high in elevation. Extremely dry winds blowing from the North-East cause the tea bush’s leaves to close tightly, and a lowered moisture content of closed leaves increases the balance of flavor. The tea produced during this season is highly prized for quality. This Pekoe grade offering from the Adawatte Estate has characteristic bold, curly leaves.
DESCRIPTION This delicate tea is light and flavorful, with nuances of citrus and a pleasing pungency in the style of many choice teas from the Uva district.
PREPARATION Heat water to 212 F, steep 4 minutes.
